| Very good and eye opening post. Makes you think about the power of the press, doesn't it? |

| so sad, but totally true. even when ron paul does get media coverage, regardless of the network (i saw the worst example on fox), they always try to make him sound like an old fart that shouldn't be taken seriously. i watched an MTV special with their cool vj's up there and a bunch of young people for an audience, and clinton, obama, huckabee, and paul appeared on a video screen one-by-one and answered questions from the audience. off to the side there was a guy crunching poll numbers and showing data on the questions and other stuff. ron paul talked about ending the war, wiping out the federal reserve, and running this country by the Constitution (what a crazy idea!). obama spouted his usual bullshit about "i wanna make change, i wanna help poor people, i wanna say whatever will get your vote." when asked if he supported gay marriage he said he "supports civil unions between gay people, but not gay marriage." but the craziest part of the show, after the 4 candidates spoke, the hosts did a little recap and rundown, and one host ever so gently squeezed in "if you're going for change, you're definitely going for obama." but out of all the candidates who started the race, he was the only GOOD one, and the only one from either side who would change anything. while mcain and romney were arguing over who was the real conservative, ron paul made them both look like liberals who didn't know what the word "conservative" meant. his ideas would help return us to the ideals that made this nation great, but if he was elected, too many really really rich people would lose a lot and be knocked down to a merely really rich status. i'm impressed by the fact that he served in the military AND has been a medical doctor for 3 decades. who else can claim BOTH of those. hillary clinton is said to have a 140 IQ, but i believe ron paul is probably the most intelligent person who took the stage during any debates for this election. even at 70-whatever he still sounds really sharp when he speaks. well, at least people are being exposed to his ideas, so his candidacy is not all-for-naught. there's a new libertarian candidate in the race now, named Bob Barr. he was a conservative republican who felt the party left him, so he's running as a libertarian. i saw him on an interview with stephen colbert. he sounded similar to ron paul but not quite as revolutionary. probably more palatable to the average citizen. worth checkin' out. | Ron Paul is a very smart man with great credentials who would make a great president. I like Obama but I agree he may be in over his head. I believe Ron doesn't have a chance anymore so would you agree that Obama is the next best choice? BTW, this is coming from a dem |

| Then I guess you think McCain is? Ron Paul has already stated he is not giving McCain his support. Also, if you know anything about McCain's health you'd realize the man doesn't have long to live. He has an extremely bad case of skin cancer which is why they cut off his left cheek. |
