| What a stupid woman. I have no pitty for this dumbass. First off, she is doing tax-paid, government work on a YAHOO account (which is free from government transparency laws). Second, she uses the password "popcorn" to protect her account, which she does government work on. Third, she uses no encryption on her government work emails. Really, it's the third one that pisses me off the most. To use a yahoo account is one thing, but to not even bother to use some sort of PGP encryption on your emails? That tells me 1 of two things: 1) She is so stupid and out of touch that she doesn't even consider encrypting her government e-mails. 2) Her job is so useless and unimportant that it wasn't worth her to bother encrypting her e-mails. So yeah, I think it was wrong for whoever got into the account (and don't believe the media hype, it wasn't "hacked"... they did a forgot password reset, which is again a very known and basic flaw of Yahoo's Mail system), and they should be arrested and charged with cyber crimes... but I also think someone needs to ask palin "What the fuck?" I mean, it is obvious the reason she got yahoo accounts to do her work on was to avoid the transparency laws (sneaky politicians)... but the least she could have done was still be smart about how the internet works (or find new advisors). srsly, lrn2internet.

ADHD is like having a bunch of TVs in your head, all running different programs, and having no ability to control them. Marijuana not only appears to give me a remote, it also allows me to shut off all the other TVs sucking up the juice... which makes the TV I'm watching a bit brighter. |

| Personally, I think that whoever did this, while breaking a law, was doing a public service. And the only crimes committed were to the detriment of the American Public, not Sarah Palin. While it was unfortionate that her email account was 'hacked' (I use the term loosely, Popcorn isn't a hackworthy password, I 'hacked' passwords that complicated when I was in 1st grade), but she never should've been using it for government business. In all reality, the person who broke into her private e-mail, while breaking a law, was taking what was rightfully theirs. Someone stole information, purposefully withheld that which was rightfully the property of the American Public. Information on how our (or in this case, the Alaskan) government is being run. Sarah Palin was using a Yahoo Email account (Gov.Sarah@yahoo.com) to conduct Government Business, this was an obvious attempt to get around Government Transparency laws, as evidenced by, among other things, the correspondence in her Official email, and her Yahoo. In her official Email, an email regarding the hiring of a new employee was sent from a constituent (I believe, I could be incorrect), and a reply sent from her work email was "This is not Sarah's Personal e-Mail account," to which, he replied "Whoopsies!~" Other things, including a conversation between Palin and her staff about how to conceal their correspondence, that, plus the evidence uncovered through this hack (which would've come up anyway, hopefully, in the troopergate investigation). Which brings us to a whole 'nother can of worms. The fact that Palin (is said to have) fired the Chief of Police, for refusing to fire her Ex-brother-in-law.... but that's straying from the original topic, man, this woman writes her own segways, doesn't she? |

| ^Very insightful post... If Palin was some evil, 60 year old man that had stolen tax payer money and hid with it... people would be applauding her capture. But since she is a government representative, and poor widdle palin is a poor widdle woman who needs the media to be nice to her, I'm sure it won't be seen as an act of a disgruntled tax-paying citizen, but more of an attack against palin. Man I hope it doesn't help her, but I have a feeling it might. |
