But over-reaching government gets in the way.

K.K. Forss lived in constant fear of federal and state officials so he eventually stopped taking medical marijuana and switched to his more rigorous and expensive pill regimen. Presently, twelve states have passed legislation allowing marijuana, under certain conditions, to be prescribed legally by doctors for patients who could benefit from it. K.K. Forss lives in Minnesota, where it is not yet legal. However, even if it is legalized by the state, Mr. Forss will still have plenty to fear from the Federal government, as cannabis dispensaries and clinics that operate under these state laws are still under fire from the Drug Enforcement Administration.

In other words, the federal government sees fit to use our tax dollars to raid state sanctioned healthcare clinics, to imprison and fine patients and operators, in order to compel people like Mr. Forss to be bedridden and overmedicated at great taxpayer expense every single day.

The Federal government should recognize that states have the authority to decide these issues. This affords all states the opportunity to see which policies are most beneficial. As a Congressman and a physician, I strongly advocate that healthcare decisions should be made by doctors and patients, not politicians or federal agents, which is why I am an original co-sponsor of the recently introduced “Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act” which would bar the Federal government from intervening in such doctor/patient relationships that violate no state law.

The bottom line is that K.K. Forss should be treated as a free American. Mr. Forss is one of many who would like to use marijuana medicinally because it helps him. Politicians and bureaucrats have no right to interfere.

He may not be running for President anymore but I still support the man 100% and he is by far, the only politician I trust.

Thanks Ron Paul, for everything you've done in this campaign. Curing me of apathy and feeling like this country isn't full of mindless 'patriotic' zombies. You've made a huge impact on our country, and I think it's effects will be felt within the next generation, hopefully leading to the change we all envision.

Hopefully he (and his organization) will continue building the platform of "Ron Paul Republicans" at the state and local level. We need more politicians that actually respect and follow the constitution.

I was actually talking to my dad about Ron Paul today. His opinion on him was that he should still try to travel around for the next 4 years and continue to get his message across to the people. I don't think it would be a waste of time, he could get a jump on things and when no one else is going around campaigning it might be easier to get people to listen.

See the thread started by SpiralArchitect about the media blackout on Ron Paul. If they aren't going to push forward his message during an election year what makes you think they'll give him any attention after the campaign season is over?

Well, little known fact ; Ron Paul doesnt owe his 'celebrity' to the MSM. Who needs it when your Ron Paul, as you can see word of mouth and the internet seem to spread his message and ideas just fine.

It's like lighting a fire, it just grows and burns hotter baby.

I posted a video of Ron Paul speaking on many of his beliefs and views in the video section. If this man was in office, I believe our society would truly know the meaning of the constitution.

He has already said publicly that he will continue to spread his message until his last breath. As people continue to rely more and more on the internet for their news, media blackouts will continue to have a lesser affect on elections.
