True....and at the same time the mainstream media still continues to ignore him. I do think the poll has some validity though.......since it is hard to double vote (they record your IP) and other candidate voters would be active too. It shows that if the mainstream media would give him more time he could definitely win the Republican nomination.

But the media seems to have an agenda......just because he is anti-authoritarian and anti-NWO they basically want to blacklist him. Everyone else in the debate were empty suits......I guess they want some right wing bible belt nutjob like Bush on the Republican ticket (even though Chris Mathews is supposedly against the war).

If more people knew about him he could definitely win this thing. But the media decided that the public should only know about Guliani, McCain, and Romney.

I'd rather campaign for someone who actually has a chance of getting elected. I would love it if the Republicans nominated Paul. It would insure that the Democratic candidate would win by a landslide. The conservatives would jump right over the fence...

Congressman Ron Paul will speak on foreign policy tonight on the U.S. House floor around 9:00 p.m. ET. The schedule for special-order speeches can change with little notice, but the schedule now shows around 9:00 p.m. ET. Floor speeches are broadcast as part of C-SPAN's regular coverage of the House floor.

If any of you thought that he didn't stand a chance before, I think you don't have to worry now. Ron Paul is starting to be known and everyone is starting to see that every other republican candidate are a bunch of war-mongering empty suits (keep in mind that 70% opposes the war now, every candidate in the debate was arguing about winning the war while Dr. Paul was the only one that talked about getting us out).

Remember if he wins the election there is a good chance he will end the War on Drugs and the War on Marijuana.

Buzzby, I don't understand why you would possibly feel the need to shoot down a positive indicator like this. Maybe the poll was flooded with pro marijuana advocates. More likely is wasn't. Regardless - So what?
As a tireless advocate for the legalization of marijuana you are well aware of the enormous mountain left to climb to attain our goal.
There are so many people out there who will respond to news like this with renewed hope and energy.

I say let us rejoice in it. Each small piece of that which is positive fills in the puzzle.
This is definitely one of those time when the old adage -

"If you can't say something nice don't say nothing at all" could not ring more TRUE...

So what you are saying is that Paul has more supporters than Juliani, Romney, or McCain? The others do have supporters that are aware of these polls too right?

Tenacious -
I happen to disagree with Buzzby's philosophy on this issue: an opinion I have expressed to him before.

That said, Buzzby is an ardent, effective and tireless advocate for the legalization of marihuana; arguably one of the most tenacious on this 'board'.

You would do well to remember that there are many paths to the same goal.
Dissing someone just because their opinion differs from yours serves no constructive purpose.

If you really have an opinion on the matter why not put up a strong argument to support your position?

Ron Paul isn't just some nobody who appeared and is for marijuana legalisation. He has been sticking to his guns for over a decade in politics, and isn't one to pull any 'poli-tricks' on people just to win election.

He speaks the truth, and he tells it like he sees it, even if it goes against what everyone else thinks.

Watch these, and you'll learn all about Dr. Paul's views:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQPD290PSDo

Watch all 6 parts, he answers questions from the audience in the later parts.
