I'll be voting for Ron Paul in the primaries. I'm registered as a Republican but I'm really more of a Libertarian. It’s a shame the Republican Party is controlled by christian conservatives who only care about gay marriage and abortion. He won't get the nomination. So I'll most likely be voting for a third party in the main election yet again; unless a miracle happens and John Edwards gets the Democratic nomination.

Ah, Jake, that's why it's best to be an independent. You can register as a member of a political party AT the voting station... at least in my state, you can. You can only do it if you're an independent though, and afterwards you have to change back your status to independent or you're still considered a member of whatever part you choose to vote for... but is it too late for you to change to republican already? Federal regulations require them to allow you to make changes to your status 30 days before the election at the absolute earliest. If you want, you should be able to change it in time.

I would consider myself a bit of a Ron Paul junkie. He addictive. Anyway on his site he has a live counter going of all the donations he's been getting. He was trying to get 1787 donors over the last three days (1787 because this is constitution week). He has 1400+ so far. Those are all people willing to dip into their pockets to give a little something to someone they believe in. Every single candidate wishes they had the grassroots following Ron Paul has. I urge you that if you really want to see marijuana legalized federally PLEASE DONATE. Just imagine we will be able to grow all the stickiest, skunkiest weed ever. Weed will be incredibly cheap! How much is it for a bushel of hay or a pound of wheat? The possibility I think is worth sacrificing a half slice.
