"Given the many urgent scientific and technological challenges facing America and the rest of the world, the increasing need for accurate scientific information in political decision making, and the vital role scientific innovation plays in spurring economic growth and competitiveness, we call for a public debate in which the U.S. presidential candidates share their views on the issues of The Environment, Health and Medicine, and Science and Technology Policy."

The 'debates' have already happened. Their answered have been given.

• Obama has released the names of his scientific advisers.
• McCain has refused to to release the names of his scientific advisers.

(edit: McCain has not 'refused,' McCain's campaign has not responded to any requests for this information, however, refusal to release and refusal of response are effectively the same.)

The responses are somewhat long winded, but in my opinion, very good. It's interesting to see the grades that each candidate receives (and you can vote for yourself; here).
