| "The proper application of both the endorsement and Lemon tests to the facts of this case makes it abundantly clear that the Board’s ID Policy violates the Establishment Clause. In making this determination, we have addressed the seminal question of whether ID is science. We have concluded that it is not, and moreover that ID cannot uncouple itself from its creationist, and thus religious, antecedents." John E. Jones III, United States District Judge, Conclusion, Kitzmiller v Dover School District This could have gone in videos, religion, or here but it's pretty science heavy so here I guess. Ken Miller is a (Christian) Professor of Biology who was the lead expert witness at the Dover Intelligent Design trial. He later did a lecture on the subject at the University of Texas, Austin, which was videotaped and was a great glimpse into some of the flaws in the ID argument as presented at trial as well as the evidence that buried it, even in front of a Bush appointed judge they might have hand picked if given the chance. Ken Miller's "God, Darwin, and Design - Lessons from the Dover Monkey Trial" lecture at U of Texas- Austin. Playlist with 8 parts in all, it's not short but it is worthwhile I thought. There are at least two other feature length ones on the subject if anyone is interested. | After he gets into the Texas board of education and books part you might want to skip the rest of the above one, though he gets into his views of religion some later so some might enjoy that. Or not. PBS NOVA did a pretty good one on the same subject a while back though that's also worth the time. I'll toss that out real quick as well.
