Mexico City closes museums to stop flu outbreak

MEXICO CITY—Mexico's federal government has closed museums, libraries, and state-run theaters as well as schools in its overcrowded capital to stop a swine flu outbreak authorities say may have killed as many as 60 people. The government already shut down schools across Mexico City Friday in hopes of containing the outbreak that has sickened more than 900 people. World health officials worry a global flu epidemic could spread from the city of 20 million.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says tests show some of the Mexico victims died from the same new strain of swine flu that sickened eight people in Texas and California. It's a frightening new strain that combines genetic material from pigs, birds and humans.

My Medical Doctor said the world is "way late for a Global pandemic". I regularly get My "flu shot", from Him,and asked. It seems there is a regular wave of pandemics!
At 1st they thought it might get to be the HIV saturation, especially in Africa,and other small,poor countries. That one was noticed in time. It Did Show, how a virus,bacteria,
flu,metabolic trauma can be stored,delivered, then sequestered. People are still dieing of it! Ever since I've started the 'flu shots", I haven't had a cold, in over 10 years!

Wow, see, I've never had a flu shot, and I've never had the flu. Granted I've had bronchitis and minor chest colds (attributed to asthma, no doubt), but I just don't feel like the flu shots work. I know plenty of people who got them and still got sick.

This whole swine flu thing seems pretty intense though. Genetic material from pigs, birds, and humans? Damn.

yah its fucked up, i live in mexico about 5 hrs from mex city, they all got days off school and work (til may 6th i think)and then they all came here for vacation! sucks...now they evacuated a hospital last night.... anyways i hope we get rid of that soon!!
