| Last night I loaded a nice bowl and watched the new episode. It was about quasars and pulsars. Man things can be huge out there. Like Betelgeuse is massive. It can hold like half a billion of our suns inside of it. It's nuts! Betelgeuse is also relatively close to Earth. And scientists think it might go supernova within the next 1,000 years because it's 8.5 million years old, which is really old for that type of star. And scientists say it's decreased in size by like 15% or more since the early 90's. They said it probably won't effect us at all because of it's polar direction. |
