| So I was enjoying a cold glass of water today after a nice couple of bong packs and I looked through the glass to see that distorted wrap around effect on the glass and the refraction of the light... I wondered about reality and how we perceive it. I once posted that what we see is reality and it couldn't be a figment of our minds as we must perceive reality in such a way that allows us to react successfully to the world around us... but perhaps our brains have just adapted to a "warping effect". Perhaps reality is actually as it was seen through my glass of water, or in some other seemingly unorthodox way. Suppose we were born seeing the world through a glass of water with all of it's refractions and reflections, would we adapt as if it were the way reality were meant to be seen? Would our vision allow us to accurately assess the world or would we be handicapped? It's all a matter of perspective I suppose. What are your thoughts?
