ok heres the final end to the saga tryed all i can do and i still think theres baby specs of aluminum in there. So if I make a makeshift bong outta this slurpee cup i have right here will the water filter out the aluminum?

it won't be aluminum shavings, aluminum might not be the hardest metal, but it doesn't chip off like you're saying. i'm thinking its either cheaply chromed (if its made in another country, which im assuming it is), or there's a different coating on it, that's also cheap. i'm betting they just didn't clean it too well (production run for a cheap product, it happens) and then sent it off to the electroplating/coating station. the grease (since used for cooling the metal while machining) bubbled, and caused places where the coating wasn't actually on the metal, but on the grease. if this is the problem, you can just use a wire brush, or even some scotchbrite and take it back down to the original metal.

the water will filter out the metal for sure, since metal is heavier (obviously :P). even if you smoke it without water, you aren't going to inhale metal, the melting point is too high, chances are it will just stay with the ash.

get a picture up for sure, i want to know what this is now

also, how heavy is it? in comparison to an empty beer bottle/something fairly standard. i can most likely tell you if it's actually aluminum or not too.
