I have a problem I bought one of those grinders you can buy at a gas station/ cigarette type store. Basically not the best quality. Its aluminum. I have used it about five times for about 4 grams. I was saving the kief and today I decided to put it in a little baggie and when I did I put it up to the light and noticed a very small dot of something shiny. Like about a little bigger than a hair. I'm worried that its shavings. I have a joint rolled and now I don't know if I should smoke it or not. This is a gram joint 8).

well ive never had that happen
throw out the grinder for starters
then open your joint check it roll it again (i mean there might be metal in it)
then take the metal out of your kief go down to your head shop and spend 30 bucks for a spun aluminum grinder with kief catch

No smoke shops in the area I do understand what you saying though). How worried should I be if I have been inhaling metal shaving from before? Should I just try to get the metal outta the kief? In the end my healths more important

Thing is I added what was in between the screen part and the top grinder part. I checked the joint and nothing shined in the light. Rerolled the mofo. I guess in a way I know that I'm just gonna have to pitch the kief 8( Still havent got to try it yet.

well if you have smoked some you would know it because it would heat up real hot and just burn you or scratch your throat real bad

Sadly I think theres quite a bit of micro flakes in there. So I'm just gonna pitch it. Ive checked and rechecked the gram from the joint and I may just end up pitching it also. You get what you pay for haha Shitty.

but yeah sucks ass

first grinder i had i put hardly any in it and all the teeth broke out i was pissed
my second got taken by my parents now i have one of my own in my own house

Dude you will be fine. The reason the kif is shiny is because kif is supposed to be shiny. It is resin crystals, and as far as I remember resin crystals shine.

See I dunno this is my first experience with kief and I dunno if its the resin or aluminum shavings. I didn't have the heart to throw it out.

I did put paper in the grinder and ground it up with no shavings on it at all.
