I washed out a jar of tomato sauce and covered all exposed glass with masking tape. I just painted the tape black and plan to later put an orange, mango or banana inside the jar to hopefully give it a tropical sort of smell that I hope would influence the weed that I'd keep in there. Are there any holes in this plan? I want to keep my weed fresh and moist for as long as I might have it which is usually no longer than a month or so.

I use mason jars because I know that it is keeping out all the air. I also store in a cool, dry place. I'm not sure if an old tomato sauce jar would be airtight.

I just took a look into the jar, turns out that paint doesn't soak through masking tape, I think I should've figured that out due to the fact that it's used to keep paint off places. Back to the drawing board...

Where can I buy one mason jar? It appears that walmart sells packs of 12 and 15

I have seen single mason jars sold at a grocery store near me called Publix, but I think any major grocery store would have single mason jars as well. You could always call the stores first so you don't make a wasted trip.

i use baby food jars when i got a low stash and a mason jar for large stashes.

Lately I've been keeping my herb in a half-pint wide mouth mason jar. Glass jars are the best way to store herb IMO.

Mason jars work the best my man. They sell them at Wal Mart. Dont be afraid to ask if they would just sell one. Its just a jar, it could be used for anything
