|  Jar or Keef box? does non air tight storage effect the quality of buds? I invested in a keef box, but I noticed this thing is not air tight, my question is, does it have to be? will my buds be more potent if kept fresh inside an air tight jar? I smoke out of a bong so I don't mind the clean rips from dried out buds, but I'm just wondering if it effects the potency and quality at all? |

| Yes. It is much better to store your buds in something that seals, because its not just about keeping them from getting too dry or too moist. Bud just gets older a whole lot faster when its not sealed. Trust me its just bad...the taste, the way it hits, the smell, the look, the way it breaks up, everything. Seriously- mason jar or something like it.

| At least a couple zip locked bags if you don't have a jar handy, but I actually found about 20 mason jars in my basement not long ago, yay me (:

| yea it will lose it potancy after a wile, might not be noticeable but it will. Also it will get damp or to dry.. |

| The enemies of bud potency are time, heat, air, light, and moisture. Reduce any of those factors and your bud will keep better longer. Everything deteriorates over time. Heat, air, and light speed up the process. More than 15% moisture will support mold. For long term storage, I keep my weed in mason jars that have had the air pumped out of them with a Pump'n'Seal. They stay in the refrigerator, which keeps them dark and cool.
