I have a SharpStone, this also happened to me when I first got it. It will probably happen to every new aluminum grinder, some just probably never notice it though (I was looking really closely at my kief catcher and found a couple shavings, never would've noticed if I wasn't looking)

My friend and I each recieved a fairly cheap aluminum grinder with our vapes. Neiother has ever had issues with flaking or metal shavings. I'd be hesitant to use any grinder that introduced specks of metal into my weed
