Cut my hand on my grinder tonight

Such a good night gone bad.

I came home and ground up my weed, and it finally got so hard to turn it that it WOULDN'T budge.

I have a 4 piece grinder that came free with my DBV. I separated the top part and the bottom part (kief catcher) and was stuck with the screen compartment and the area where the bud falls into after its been ground up (via small holes.)

Well, ever since I got it I've been noticing that there's this crap that's all over it. Resin almost. It's starting to cover my grinder, it's sticky, hard to get off, and makes it REALLY hard to turn it. I cut my hand tonight and got surprisingly a LOT of blood on my keyboard and this is the second bandage I've had to put on it. It somehow gave me a nice gash across the inside of my finger, where it bends, so I can't really bend it without it bleeding everywhere lol

Anyway, getting

how can I get this crap off my grinder? just wash it with warm water? Alcohol? what should I do? :S

A little bit of rubbing alcohol goes a long way in the paraphernalia department. I'd say soak your grinder in some alcohol and it should loosen up the resin.

the iso alcohol and salt method works great on grinders too. If you want to make a iso hash you can leave the salt out and let the iso evaporate and have a nice smoke-able oil left over.

Yep, that's what I do. That blackish stuff is essentially hash, so dissolve it with the iso, evaporate, and smoke.

Personally I'd scrape all that goodness off and smoke itfirst.
All those hard to reach areas, yeah, just use iso and salt.

My friend gave me a HUGE ziplic freezer bag. I put the rest of my alcohol in the bag, put it on my night stand and put in all 4 pieces to my grinder so that the parts with the resin on it (in the nooks on the outside where it connects, pretty much) soak in the alcohol the most. I'm just wondering if putting salt in the mix is necessary, and if so, if I run hot water through my grinder THOROUGHLY after I take it out of the alcohol in the morning will it still get all the salt out?

Cleaned my grinder with Iso and Salt last night. Now it has these marks all over it like the alcohol stained the grinder and it's not coming off.

Never had ISO stain a grinder, a cheap one or a name brand. You should rinse with hot water and dry after cleaning with alcohol though.

Cleaning a grinder frequently is the best way to avoid losing trichomes on a sticky surface. The better quality your herb is, the more often you should clean. A toothbrush and ISO can get a grinder clean and slick in a hurry.

IDK what happened 5drive. I cleaned the grinder I got with my DBV for free from vapeworld last night before I went to bed(ziploc baggie, salt, Iso) and I left it there while I slept. As soon as I woke up I went to my bathroom to clean it. I'm kinda pissed. What did I do wrong? It was suchhhhhhhh a nice grinder.

Should you not let grinders sit that long? Because that's exactly what I did with my pieces and my friend's pieces.
