hey i have a screen question. where can you find screens or what can you make them out of that won't give me alzheimers (ahem aluminum)

The only reason someone would want to break the weed down and put it into the bowl like that is so there is more surface area for the weed to burn. Havent you all noticed that smaller chunks of weed burn faster than one chunk of bud? -has no clue where that came from- lmao. Um... I think what he was trying to say was that the weed in a bud isn't shaped like the 'bowl' thats in the bong/bubbler/pipe. If you grind the weed and put it in the bowl, it takes the shape of the bowl. He thinks that the 'bowl of the pipe' is called so because of it's shape, which is relativly true. So a 'bowl of weed' must be in the shape of a bowl... I think. xD That's what I think when he said that.

The majority of screens are not aluminum, they are steel or brass. If it's silver, it's probably stainless steel. If you have an aluminum screen, try a different store, brass and steel screens are all over the place.

I have a question that is kind-of related: What can i make a screen of at home-if i want to make a smoking apparatus(that is healthy/not harmful)???????????

-(I usually make a tin foil bowl---yes i know it prob bad for me, but i do not have time to go to a headshop for 2 months....)

You can use a faucet screen, available at any hardware store. AFAIK these are stainless steel.

Window screening won't do it. The holes are too big and they're made of aluminum or plastic. Go with a faucet aerator screen as teufelfisch suggested or you can get fine stainless or brass screening at a scientific supply store.
