Default Grinders!!!

I just bought a grinder about 4 days ago and i have been grinding like crazy every chane i get i grind someones herb. But my freind just bought some straight herb and told me that that isnt the type of pot you put into a grinder. The only reason ive been grinding so much cause its a 3 stage grinder so i can collect keif on the bottom and my buddies stuff as just covered in it that i wanted to grind a bud cause i knew i would get a **** load out of it. I only got to grind a little bud but my question is ------Are there certain types of pot that you should/shouldnt put in a grinder?

hmmm, well i think it probably has more to do with what your going to do with the herb. If you plan on sticking it in a pipe, bong, hookah, or one hitter- grind grind grind! Perhaps some recipes call for unground herb? or herb thats more chunky than what a grinder would yield? I know i was reading a thing about extracting hash oil and it said not to grind because it would break up chlorphyll and deposit it as a byproduct into the oil.
I would say, based solely on 'types of herb' that theres no such thing as herb not to grind.

Hoagies and grinders
Hoagies and grinders
Hoagies and grinders

Mmmmmmmmmmmm

Its really just a matter of preference. There isnt any pot that wasnt made to be ground. It just makes it easier to burn. As your grinder collects the keif no product is lost so there should be no worries. Some people like to pop some whole nugs into a bowl. Its all preference.

Sounds like you have been stealing keif from your friends bud. THEIF!

Yea actually there are buds that are worthless in grinders.. Sticky buds, moist buds. Best kind of buds to keef are dry nuggets. Heres something u didnt know, you dont have to grind ur bud to collect keef. Grab a nugget filled with crystals like ur friend was talking about and start rubbing it agianst the screen and watch the miles of keef grow!

I love my grinder =)

However, it's starting to get a bit dull. And those little protrusions aren't exactly the easiest to sharpen.

And grinders aren't particularly cheap to replace, either =(

Oh well, at least mine is stainless steel! My friend has a wooden one (the spikes are metal, but they're some kind of cheap metal and are only a millimeter or so thick, cylindrical. mine are triangular prisms made of stainless steel)

Default I love my grinder too

Hey we got something in common. My grinder is clear and the spikes are metal. I would say agree with the dry buds grinding. Cuz I was at my buddies house one day and he had some pretty good **** but it was all... well anyway it didn't grind for **** it just got all stringyand kinda reminded me of tobacco.

Bud needs to be fairly dry and brittle to grind well. It all depends on the design of your grinder, some are designed more to grind bud while others just tear and shred the bud up. The tearing/shreading type is the best, because it will break up even dank bud, just use smaller quantities at a time, and don't be afraid to use your fingers to break it up some more.
