The ooey gooey stuff, when it's wet doesn't that mean that there is still alcohol on it, i'm drying it out now, but i don't know how dry to get it...

eww...resin's yucky...but, my stash is depleted

, so i'm smoking some right now

but maybe one of yall can clarify this for me: if acetone is one of the solvents i can soak my glass piece in, could i use acetone nail polish remover? and if so, will it be safe to smoke after it dries (well, at least as safe as the alcohol-resin solution) or would one of the other chemicals in the nail polish remover make it absolutely toxic?

when u guys say alcohol, u mean common rubbing alcohol...

everything is all dried and ready to go, but i wanna know i'm not going to DIE if i smoke this, i soaked it in:

91% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol

Sound cool?

Nail polish remover has scary stuff in it.

You can buy relatively pure acetone at a hardware store for about $1.75 US.

edit: Effex, remember to post your findings if you die.

edit: Most simple hydrocarbons - including alcohol, acetone,
hexane, butane, et cetera - evaporate completely. you will
probably NOT die.

Hmm... has anyone ever washed out a ceramic pipe with alcohol? Will that stuff ruin my pipe? I mainly use it for roaches, almost threw it out a few times but I decided that it's a good luck pipe. Hits like crap, tastes like crap, but there's a nice stock pile of resin in her.

If I'm too lazy to get alcohol, can I just use wiskey or some other hard liquor? How effective would that be? I'll probably just buy some isopropyl alcohol, but I was just wondering. I've always been too scared to use it though, I'm not sure just how dry to let the resin get. I could always ask a friend who's done this though... and I was thinking that if I just chickened out and used some hard liquor, a screwed up batch of resin wouldn't be as bad as using isopropyl alcohol.

Wow, I'm so stoned. I'll edit this post when I'm not so baked. Heh.

The only pipe material that solvents will damage is acrylic. Don't
clean an acrylic piece with acetone. The pipe will melt.

how much do you have to have to get messed up, my pipe has been used aoubt 6-7 times and im pretty sure i got most of it and their isnt alot their, and the gunk was under where the screen was
