i have a carbon filter that i exhale into and am wondering if it completely removes the smell from smoking weed, of course because am high and i cant smell weed at all.

Best test would be to get a buddy who hasn't smoked to test sniff for you, preferably a buddy with a good nose. And the best smoking method for stealth is obviously using something to minimize 2nd hand smoke-a pipe you can close up-hold your hit-take small hits to minimize smoke on exhale.

The best method for stealth is obviously a vaporizer. It doesn't smell like burning marijuana, more like popcorn. Second would be a one-hitter: no side-stream smoke at all.

I've never heard of using a carbon filter, but it sounds like it might work. A lot of people use a "spoof", a toilet paper roll stuffed with dryer fabric softener sheets. Exhaling through it is supposed to more-or-less completely mask the burning weed smell. Combining a spoof with exhaling out a window is even better.

I definitely gotta agree with 5drive.
Having grown up smoking in the '60's when paranoia at getting busted was daily reality and finding covert ways to smoke was a passion I'll go with a small pipe that you can -
- draw down 1 hit &
- plug the bowl with a fitted cork (or whatever works). There is no 'side-stream' at all (and you conserve the weed as well)
A one hitter is good but not as efficient.
Vaping, as you say, smells different than pot but still has a rather atypical odor so if one is attempting to mitigate all undo attention I'd go with a small corked pipe any day.
The other downside to vaping is that most units are not portable whereas a small pipe is versatility at it's finest...

You make a simple vape out of a lightbulb. It only takes a couple of minutes and fits quite nicely in your pocket. Problem solved; its also alot cheaper than buying a real vape.

btw i normally smoke like 1inch to 2ft away from the celling fan of the bathroom. it seems to work pretty good.and i use a small pipe and i do cover the top of it when i smoke in my room. but when am in the bathroom am 99% safe unless i exhale wrong. am ganna try the carbon filter once my bro get home and see if he smells anything, thnx for all the replys

I agree the best method for eliminating weed smell is a vape (it's pretty much all I use). The vape odor is different from smoke and doesn't linger long. But I assumed that, since stealth is the issue, a vaporizer found in the room would bring up the question 'what the hell is this?'. Of course there's always the small stealthy vape like the VaporGenie. As for a lightbulb vape, I've never made or used one, but some have been satisfied with one. If you google 'how to make a lightbulb vaporizer' you'll find some tutorials with pics, including one on this site.

BTW, lightbulb vapes suck. They have no temperature control and tend to set the weed on fire or not get it hot enough to vape.
