I went in to my local office store today, and I was looking for a scale. Well, I couldn't find them, so I fianlly went up and asked, and told him that I was looking for a christmas gift for my mom, and that I wanted to buy her a scale. Well he asked if I wanted a digital one, or non-digital, and I said non. So he brings me up front, and squants down behind the counter, and comes back up and holds it in the air and asks if this is what i wanted, and it was a very small device. So I asked hm where the digital ones were at, and he directed me to them, and I went and checked them out, and all were like $40 or more, and I even found some scales like that you would put on a desk, and they were at least $15, too. So I went back up and told him the one up there is the one I wanted. I didn't know the increments it measured, but it was only $1.50, so I got it. I didn't want to ask if it measured fractions of ounces, I would just feel uncomfortable doing that
Well, I didn't think it would bee what I wanted, but I got it anyway. The one that would stand up only measured in ounces. Well, I brought it home, and to my surprise, it will probably work perfect, it has grams on one side, and ounces on the other, and it has marks for quarter, and half ounces, along with smaller marks inbetween them.
I was almost sure it wouldn't be what I wanted, because I read somewhere around here that scales cost around $5. It has a weight on one side, and a ring at the top, with a clip on the other side, and the thing that tells you how much it weighs is in the middle. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

And here's a big question. Why would they keep JUST these scales up front under the counter? The only reason I could think of is that they think people would buy these for weighing drugs? I don't see why, but what other reason? And wouldn't he have asked me why I needed it if this was their reasoning for it?

I think a guy I know who deals uses that kind of scale. It's very small, sort of balances a weight and the bag, with a slider marking the weight.

Seriously, people must need to weigh things. Mail, fish, jewelry, food, who knows. It's a handy little thing to have, especially if it only costs $1.50. I think I'd like to go buy one too Thanks for the idea!

Guys chill. Its just a scale its not like your going in with a shirt that says im a marijuana dealer and then asking for a scale.

In the USA we are guaranteed certain things, one of which is we dont have to take flack from someone if we want to buy a scale, regardless of what your going to use it for it is your right to be able to purchase something if its legal, and a scale is.

If its the scale im thinking it is they would have it up front because a display of them would just look stupid, im not even sure how you would display them since they are kinda small.

Anyway you guys are aware of your rights as citizens correct? You all are acting like you asked the kid where you could score some trees Just relax they dont know you, nor do they know what your going to do, and they cant give you flack because you want to purchase a scale.

ya their mail scales for weighing mail for teh correct postage and whatnot.. and i bet their up tehre cause their smalla nd easily stolen, and they want people to actually apy the smalla mounf of money for them instead of just sticking them in ur pocket and walking out

quarantined - I reccomend one of these things, I haven't used it to weigh any actual doobage, but I've picked up some things around the house and it seems to be measuring pretty damn accurately.
