I just got my first bowl and I got some screens too. How do you guys get the screen to stay in? It doesn't fit right in mine for some reason.

most of the time the screens are flexible to be pushed into the bowl and create a concave little pocket like deal. some bowls are not compatible at all if they're far too narrow, but most work... basically i suggest just trying to force it in there :-)

smash it down with your finger, its good it doesnt fit perfect, thats way better than it not being big enough.

I know this is obvious to most of us, but if it's a glass bowl, you don't need a screen. If it's a metal bowl, there's a small lip around the edge of the bowl that would hold the screen down once it's in.

some glass pipes benefit a screen. The trick to screening any pipe is to fit it in a bit, smoke liek 1 or two bowls so it gets a bit resiny, then it will stay in pretty much whatever position u put it in.

Well, the main reason for smoking out of glass, IMO, is to avoid the nasty tastes and vapors that come with smoking out of pretty much everything else. A metal screen defeats that purpose, and they arent really necessary in most glass pipes anyway. A glass pipe with no screen is the tastiest, and healthiest way to smoke.

yo man, some glass pipes DO need a screen. the ones with a huge fvcking hole in the bowl. My biggest pipe needs one but I'm out atm so I've been getting a lot of snacks when hitting it.

Funny you said that, my bowl is cracked down there too, and I have to use a screen or else you eat weed with every hit. I cracked it cleaning it with a fork (doh!). I learned the hard way metal isn't good to clean glass. It's okay though, cuz with a clean screen, that puppy hit's like a champ!
