Heya,

So im planning on getting a digital scale. There are so many out there, that i don't know which is good or not.

Anyone with a scale or knowledge, you should post about what type is the best and such.

You want to look at the resolution on the scale. You can't do much with a
scale that only measures to the nearest gram.

ya...for example, most pocket style scales measure the nearest .1gram but some which are more sophistocated can do .01 gram but cost much more

and yes, you def. should get a digital one.

I would go for the cheapest one that could measure .1 grams. Good luck

i got my digital at a local headshop. it's thin and pocket sized, and it flips open like a book. it was the cheapest one they had (50$) but it is a great scale. measures up to 100 grams with .1 gram accuracy, which is fine for me 'cause im usually dealin with kb so i dont need a 200/300/400 gram scale, when im only getting ounces or less at a time. also it came with a 5 year warranty, where if it becomes broken or damaged you can bring it back to the store (or ship to manufacturer) and they'll replace it for free. make sure you ask about a warranty for whatever scale you end up looking at.

also, when you're looking for a scale they'll mainly be priced differently according to their weight capacity, and their accuracy. just because one is cheap doesnt mean it's any worse than some other more expensive similar models, it might just be meant to weigh smaller amounts.

Ok, I'm looking into buying a scale. I wat something under $30, electronic, obviously, and relatively small.

First, what models do you reccomend, second, where can one purchase a scale(other than headshops)?

the 120-Z model. the tray you use to set on the scale is a cover you slide on the front when your not using it. that tray is really nice to have. and it has .1 accuracy and i personally know it works perfectly and is a dependable unit. my friend has had his for 2 years now. this is the cheapest place i have found them.

Well i dont think youll find one taht does.1 grams for 30$ maybe 40 tho uh Radio shack sells scales also.
