lol ive never even tried to use a match to smoke the herb. That is just bein way ghetto lol. haha. I just thought about someone doin that. I wouldnt even smoke if I had to use matches. Anyways, Bics rock but only have the one fault. That is not being able to see how much fluid is in it.

I use bic's because of their durability and availibility. The Cricket and Scripto lighters are just as durable in my experiance--and offer adjustable flame, clear plastic, and flat sides (for capping off a bowl better). If I can find these types at a gas station, I get em...otherwise I just buy a bic.

I also really like those electronic ones. No wheel to mess up, just push the button down.

i tend to use two different lighters. i hope this isn't off topic.

i use my bic for bowls, and typically a butane lighter for cigs.

bics are great lighters, last long, and they do the job. plus theyre cheap!

If you dont mind the taste of them, get a zippo, however they aren't good for pipes or bongs unless you have the pipe insert on them. They make excellent roach clips though.

Ive got a pretty decent jet flame...however its not nearly as reliable as a bic, but it makes an even better roach clip than a zippo and its great for pipes and bongs as well as fixing runs on joints.


I've never heard of a lighter falling apart like you described though so it leads me to beleive you either abuse those lighters when they arent in your pocket or they are just cheap ass lighters...stick with a bic.

There's a brand of lighter they sell in Europe that completely owns. The flame is at least an inch tall. Anyone know what they're called? I'm sure Barker does, but he'll never read this.

weiisky, I think your talking about those round, cylinder shaped lighters that are refillable right? I forgot the brand but they DO sell them here in the USA. I've seen em' at wallmart by the tobacco products. They work great and with the round flat bottom, put out bowls really nicely.
