Hello. I just recently started using a grinder instead of just breaking up the buds... But I was curiouse,is it possible to overgrind bud? Because this bud is like... Super almost powder and it burns with a nice cherry. Grinding it super much woulden't effect the trichomes would it?

Well.. the more you even handle your weed, the more the trichomes fall off.
They are still mixed with the powder though.

The difference between smoking nugs and smoking shake/powder is the amount of hits and size of hits you can take.

Nug = More, smaller hits
Shake = Few, huge hits

I always use my grinder. I never grind up the weed into a fine powder. I just grind up enough to fit through the holes. I have a metal grinder, Space Case.

You should see what a coffee grinder can accomplish to some bud, great for blasting through 6-8 grams of KB to throw in a 9x13 batch of instant (add egg/oil/water) brownies....
But for smoking,, I tried that once, huge hits that hurt my lungs and fried me really quick, never did it again.

I usually just stick to my metal pollen grinder, space case or a generic, that has holes for the herbs to fall through at the proper size, and a screen at the bottom for any kief to collect under. I've never tried one of the other sweetleaf style grinders before, not sure how fine they can grind.

i use this grinder to grind up my bud and just put the bud in spliffs or a bong, i assume this is the correct way to do it but now i'm not sure as i don't do anything with the trichomes or wotever, i don't even know really what they are

it gets me high tho but maybe theres a better way of doing it. i am careful not to let the powder escape and sometimes i seperate it from the green and use it in joints and it wiorks too. is this all wrong? i don't think so but please clarify someone

I've seen generic grinders that collect kif, but the Sweetleaf grinders will not do it. The screen is too fine in it. They might have corrected the problem but I'm not sure how many of these defected pieces of **** there are still out there... It's not like they can recall them...

Anyways I don't think there is a point you could overgrind the weed but smoking it as powder isn't the best way to do it in my opinion. However if you want to get practically all the kif off of your bud you could grind it to dust in a kif grinder and shake it for a couple of minutes and you'll have a lot of kif- the weed is pretty much garbage but you got all the good stuff I guess...

I don't ever do that though, it's wasteful. The little bit of kif that always falls off when you break it up and gets lost on your fingers is all you really need over time to have a lot of kif anyways.

I like my pot to have some freshness too it though. I don't particularly like the stuff that you can grind into powder- even though I get lots of kif off of it it's usually a lot more harsh.
