That steamroller appears to have been crafted out of ordinary lab equipment, an Erlenmeyer flask, modified test tube, and a funnel with a long straw for the bowl. You could probably make one of these for $30 provided you have the right tools for modifying the test tube, other than that all the equipment shown is pretty standard.
