I know and I am not going to do it anymore except for maybe one more time to test the gasket idea. I have probably been exposed to quite a lot of metal shavings in the air over the years in different jobs, and I doubt it was too good for me. I just tried this batch to see how well the grinder worked, but I am going to see if a gasket will fix the problem. If it doesn't then I am going to switch to a new grinder that doesn't have that problem.

Ok... I went to my local hardware store and picked up a 1/8" thick rubber O-Ring for $1.69+tax. Hopefully this will fix the problem. I will let you know how it turns out, but for now...

Ok... now that I have had time to use this grinder for a while, I finally am ready to post a pic! The O-Ring solves the problem of metal flakes in the collector, and now it works great!

It would be nice to have a Space Case, but this works pretty good and costs less than a third of the name brand! Here is a pic of the collection after about 5 days of use:

and that right there in the picture is the keef? and smoking that will get you as close to as high as hash?... deff gonna have to try that damn.

I believe that is keef. The grinder was less than $20 delivered on ebay. definately worth a try for newbies like me! The keef definately has a different high than just regular bud! This particular batch will probably be used for baking (pardon the pun ).

More pictures of the end result of the grinder. This is after only about 5 days of use, so there is still a ways to go!

Maybe it's just your camera or the lighting, but that's some dark looking kief. Mine tends to be a lot lighter in color, more like blonde, but in some of those pictures it looks brown or almost black.

I was thinking the same thing. How much weed have you grinded in those 5 days? Because the screen might not be fine enough to collect only the crystals.

i agree. but i think its a good thing, then you have little pieces of bud mixed in with the keef. sounds good 2 me!

I was wondering how much he had ground up too, because it didn't look like a lot of kief, nor did it look like mine. After a week, you can't even see the bottom of my kief collector.
