hey everyone... I have a metal grinder, one with kief storage. its been working great until yesterday. i guess i somehow closed the kief compartment the wrong way, and now it is permanently shut. last night i had about 5 of my friends try to open it, and nobody could. I tried one of those grip things used for opening jars but that didnt work either. Luckily, the rest of my grinder still works, but it sucks not having access to the kief. If this has happened to anyone, or anyone has any suggestions about how to fix it, it would be greatly appreciated... thanks

first idea that comes to mind is to use WD-40 and a pair of vice grips...but that would probably render tha keif useless. hopefully someone else gives you a better idea.

Or you could save up for a new one ( ) and keep using tha one you have now until then. Keif will build up and build up, then when your new one comes, you can cut open tha screen and have a nice little reward for sacrificing your old grinder

I made the mistake of only turning my grinder only one way when I first got it, and it got badly stuck. Took a lot of strength and time to get it off. Scared the hell out of me. Now, I always turn it both ways, but I have noticed it will get slightly stuck occasionally. I'm always very careful with it, and I never screw any part on really tightly.

I agree with the other posters. Might be vice grip time.

Are these Grinders actually good? Like Do you get a nug of Dank and just start scrapping it down, I don't get the real use of it.. I know what they are, just don't really know how to use them.

put your nug in tha teeth compartment
replace lid
twist...twist...twist
unscrew first compartment (storage area) to access shredded weed
unscrew second compartment (kief storage) to get fucked up

All that sticky shit that covers your fingers when you break up a nug are trichomes...fuckyouupstuff...and it falls all over tha tray. If you use a kief grinder, you get a more thoroughly broken down product quicker, and you save all of that tasty fuckyouupstuff that falls off, as it will pass through tha screen but plant matter will not. Buy one and see...best $35-100 you will spend on accessories

you've cross-threaded your grinder it sounds like. Your prolly gunna lose everything in the keif compartment unless you slice the screen and ruin the whole grinder.

Its just gunna take alot of strength- righty tighty, lefty loosey. Good luck.

You can use mids, shcwagg, trimmings, dank, whatever you want in that grinder and it will sieve all of tha dropped "pollen" from your herb. Great investment...check out some of Tha Collector's threads...he's one of those that convinced me to get mine and it is now my favorite timewaster...scraping, measuring, playing. I think it will have to be surgically removed from my hand. Get one, you will thank yourself.

Reminds me of the time my stupid brother broke my grinder...he somehow bent the pin so that it was rubing against another pin and literally grinding metal shavings into my bud!

WE tried to bend it back but I had to just give up. I'll go all out and grab a spacecase this summer, I want to start collecting/pressing kief so I guess it's not too bad anyways,
