does any one know of a good metal herb grinder with a crystal catcher that is pretty good that isnt a space case. i just REALLY cant justify to myself spending 60 + dollars on a space case. if any of you have experience with some of the knockoffs it would be much appreciated if you could help me out...thanks. peace.

edit: oh and if possible a link to site selling them or a good ebayer, thanks.

I've had a few knock offs, and my friends have had knock offs as well.

Don't waste your time on a grinder with kief catcher if its not a space case. If you are looking to just grind up your weed get a cheap steel grinder.

The knock offs always broke, the holes are too big, doesn't cut fine enough, in general they are pieces of shit.

Get yourself a space case if you are looking for a grinder/ kief catcher deal, really, it pays for itself.

I wouldnt really waste your money on a grinder at all, unless its like a ten dollar one.

Buy a Keif box, it collects much more and you don't have to reduce your weed to literally bits and peices which tourches when you smoke it.

i dont smoke i vape....i just want to start collectig kief...does a kief box work as well as a kief grinder collector? damn i'm confused what to do...i just really dont feel like spending 67 dollars on a GRINDER! i really have to think about it...cause i JUST bought a vb unit. fuck!

well if you vap, i'd still go w/ a nice kief box, although i guess space cases work ok. idk its all personal preference.

but if i get a kief box, and do they work good? what do i use to grind the weed cause i got to grind the weed for vaping.

i got a nice 4 peice metal grinder with a collector for $30 at my local headshop. they had cheaper 3 peice ones for like $15 but i forget what the difference was, something to do with the collector, wait mabye they didnt have one or something. w/e but i dont know the name its just a chode of metal so just go down to your shop and ask the guy in there wat he suggests for cheap they are usually chill in there and will help you out.

Pollen boxes don't work nearly as good as a kief catcher/grinder works.

When you grind up your weed you release some of the crystals on the inside, which will fall into your kief catcher.

When you break up your weed with your hands you release some of the crystals on the inside, which will fall onto the floor and be wasted.

A pollen box just catches crystals that fall off from the outside, and then when you break up the weed with your hands you will lose a bunch of crystals.

Also, from what I know about pollen catchers, is that the holes in the sifter are too large and you will get weed particles at the bottom of the box. Plus, harvesting keif from the bottom of a pollen box is much harder than harvesting it from the bottom of your grinder.

Also, grinders break up the weed to the perfect size, unless the weed is super dry. It burns much better in a bowl when its broken up by a grinder than by hand. If the weed is very dry when you grind it, yeah, it will turn to dust. But if you let your weed get that dry in the first place it wont burn well when you break it up by hand either.

I've had some imitations, and seen some imitations, and honestly im not a person with a ton of money, a real space case is an investment which pays for itself very quickly, all other grinder/kief catchers are a waste of money. Atleast all of the ones I've seen and used.
