well for me i love white lighters now, their bomb. i've only had this one white lighter for like a month mabye a little less and i think they are really cool looking, so shiny and such. BUT i have heard they are bad luck but fuck that im not superstitious especially with something like that. but anyway which color lighter do you guys use or prefer?

Yeah white lighters are bad luck for stoners.


I just buy whatever lighter is closest to me on the rack at whatever convenience store I'm at.

No point in reaching over the counter just to get that one black lighter at the back.

Sometimes I just ask for a lighter and they take it off the rack for me. So I get a random colour.

It's always got to be bic though.

Me and my friends have our own colours. Every time you buy a lighter, you buy your own colour. This lowers lighter theft when everyone knows what colour you are. Mine's red, although I seem to aquire green and blue lighters a lot too.

i have this blue bic lighter that i have had for like 3 years i refill it every now and then.

i use any colour lighters. just has to be bic. ive gotten stopped like 2 or 3 times and searched by the cops, each time i had a different coloured lighter, so im not superstitious thinking white ones are bad luck. in fact it kind of annoys me when someone asks for a light and i hand them a white lighter(smoking weed...) and they refuse it.
id prefer a green bic over any though

Well...I haven't used any but mine (or my "room-mate"'s) green lighter (his is a lighter shade) ever since i acquired both, unbeknownst to me...was really ripped both nights I acquired those lighters

Also came back with a blue and red lighter with the lighter green lighter...

I've got a green lighter!

Then again there's my ol' oil-dipped Zippo... I've had it for more than three years now. Poor thing is out of fluid AND flint!

(I've never tried tokin' with a Zippo...might not work well?)

Guess I'll keep this Bic as long as possible.

BTW...does anyone know how this Bic obsession / fad got started? I'm as willing to jump on the bandwagon as the next guy just curious about the obsession...

I think I've heard about that white lighter bad luck thing...I have had white Bics, though I would always use someone else's lighter to toke, in the past.

Black Bics are good too...but I'll mourn the loss of Mr Green if I ever lose him

Bics are a good choice because they easily outlast the cheap gas station brands and they work better outside. Zippos are OK for joints but not for bowls because your weed will taste like zippo fluid if you use one.

I have black, green, white, and tie dye at the moment.

I think theres a purple one somewhere, and I've gone through a few other black and orange ones over the year.

They're the only lighters that actually manage to run out of fluid before breaking.

That might be a bit of an exaggeration, but I've had some lighters break in the past and still be 3/4 full of fluid. Bic's never do that to me. I stick with what works, with what I like...

...that's why I always get the Classic Italian at Quizno's

Green, purple, dark blue, orange, black, white are all cool.....
