How long will ground up bud last in a masion jar?

I have had about an oz of mid-grade buds in a mason jar for the past 3 months...theyre still good at this point. Im not sure if ground up bud is any different or not though..dont see why it would be (someone please correct me if you know any different)

Grinding up the bud means more surface area exposed to air. This means it will dry out faster. But, I mean, if it's in a mason jar there's not much air to be exposed to.

Non-grounded bud could easily last 4-5 months if you don't open the jar a lot.

you'll be fine having it in there for awhile..but how long do you plan on really having it in there? dont you want to smoke it? haha

Yea Id say itll last along time as long as you dont revisit it everyday. There is a nice thread somewhere about mason jars... Mason Jars

What exactly constitutes a free mason jar?

I'm using a jar, but it's small and has a twist on cap. Are the mason jars the ones with the little metal clips?
