Default Papers designs

I was wondering if there was any way to decorate papers with designs or whatever...I heard a long time ago you can paint on them with water color and its fine but i never did it because it sounded like a bad idea...i also heard food coloring works....what i want to do is paint red stripes on it so when i roll it it will look like i'm smoking a candy cane...i had this idea last christmas but nothing ever came of it....if anyone knows if its safe to use food coloring or water color or if anyone knows of any other ways I could get this effect let me know....

Food coloring should be fine. I mean, if you can put it in your food, I don't know why it wouldn't be safe to put it in your lungs. I'd be wary about using water paint, even non-toxic ones.

The notion that if you can eat it, you can smoke it is a silly one.

As soon as somethng burns, combustions takes place and the biproduct is, in most cases, unknown.

Put quite simply: Just because its safe to eat, doesnt mean its safe to light on fire and inhale the smoke.

Um... I wouldn't be putting ANY kind of chemicals on something your about to SMOKE. Even food dye- that is a stupid idea.

You'll have to find safe rolling papers with candy stripes already. I'm SURE they are around, actually I guarantee it....

Chop up some strawberries or raspberries. When they resemble a liquid, use a q-tip to apply the candy cane stripes.

I just made that up on the spot. Smoking a natural fruit is just as dangerous (or safe/benign for that matter) as smoking a natural flower (ie marijuana) in my opinion.
