I just got to thinking, Wouldn't a Pepper ginder work well for herb. I now only vaporize and if I could grind my heb up in to pepper size bits or just a tad bigger(so it doesn't pass through the screen) I think it would extend to amout of herb. We all know stiring a bowl helps get more vapor, the lager the herb the less efficent the vapor so it only goes to show that very well ground up herb that would be a lot less than even a regular herb grinder could do should also allow you to really get every last bit of vapor from the herb. I think I might give this a try sometime. The only down fall I could see would be if I had ground it all up(which I'd do a ounce at a time or more then clean the grinder) at once and then wanted to smoke it might not do well being rolled but then it may do excellent. I pretty sure for vapeing it would allow some MONSTER hits.

I only smoke legal herbs, when I come to these forums and discuss things like smoking and the high one gets I'm referring to the feeling I get from legal herbs and have no information on what others are smokeing or reffering to. I don't smoke marijuana but do enjoy discussing and talking about legal herbs and the high from different legal smoking methods and all my post should be viewed in that light.

For some reason, I don't think weed would go through a pepper grinder. I bet it would get stuck. If you try it, keep us posted.

Coffee grinders work. I have a feeling the pepper grinder would get stuck, but if you try it I'd be interested to hear the results.

It might work if you have a pepper mill with an adjustable width, and adjusted it as wide as possible. Otherwise, it wouldn't get caught in the teeth, and thus, wouldn't grind.

A mortar and pestle seems like it would work, but that can take forever, and since marble is porous, would probably smell forever.

I'm not at all as concerned as you guys about the grindder clogging. I don't really think it would or that would depend on the quality of the grinder. I'll probably give it a try in the future as I know I can get a decent grinder for $29.95 and think it would be worth it and I will let you know how it goes for sure.

Pepper mills work because pepper is brittle and dry. It falls into the teeth of the grinder, and the teeth CRUSH the pepper. Weed doesnt really crush very well unless its super dry (aka schwag). Weed has oils and various other liquds in it. Pepper doesnt. THe teeth of the grinder would get gunked up pretty quick.

Besides, have you seen the size of a pepper corn? To put the weed into the pepper grinder, one would have to make it the same size as a pepper corn right? I mean, you cant just drop big nugs in there. So.... You would have to grind your weed up to put it in the grinder?

If you really do HAVE to try it out, please, dont buy one of those nice pepper mills. It would be a damn shame to waste that much money. Just try it out on a cheaper one. They all work the same. The more expensive ones might work a bit more consistantly, and the teeth might stay sharp longer, but thats about it.

coffee grinders are like the best thing to bust weed in. ever.
you can grind it to a fine dust, i bet that would vape good

i imagine one of those "magic bullet" things i see infomecials for all the time would work well , too

I hear what your saying but coffie grounds are dry and tough too. Hell it doesn't have to be a Pepper Grinder if a coffie grinder would get it to the size of ground coffie that sounds perfect and even better than a Pepper grinder, ground coffie size bits sound absolutly perfect to me. As far as spending to much on a Pepper grinder yea maybe but I put salt and peper on just about every thing I eat so it would have a dual purpose use. I would grind it in a grinder before puting it in a pepper or coffie grinder. I guess I was thinking that a Pepper grinder would be more consistent in piece sizes than a coffie grinder. I don't know if they make them or not but aren't some grinders push loaded meaning there is something pushing the herbs into the grinder teeth and its not just the weight of the herbs pushing into the teeth that makes it grind. Anyway coffie grinder doesn't sound bad either but it would need to do a much better job of choping into small bits otherwise I'd just stay with my handheld that I love. As far as brittleness goes or gunking up if a coffie ginder can do it then a pepper grinf at least has a shot.
