I just got back from my local head shop with a few goodies... I got a sweet looking velvet pouch for the bowl i picked up not too long ago. It's tyedye and has some peace signs on it. It's just a tiny bit oversized but I think it'll give my bowl a little extra padding. The best thing I got was something they just recently got in. It's a little container called a tightvac that has a button on it you push to open and close it, which has a seal that vacuum seals your buds every time you close it. No more stale or moldy buds for me... You can check them out at www.tightpac.com. As soon as I get my camera's memory card back from my mom I'll post pics of my stash, bowl and the bag and container in the appropriate threads...

My birthday was yesterday and I received 5 hand pipes from my older brother.

That tightpac looks kinda useful. I've never had any problems just using plain mason jars, though.

My weed is gone too fast for a vacuum seal to make a difference. Good idea on the pillow though, I bought one of those myself, and now the pipe is about to turn 3 months old, which is the longest I've held a pipe for.

I needed to protect my bubbler, so I placed it in the bottom of an old soccer sock, folded the entire thing up, and tucked the end into the open end of the sock. Free and efficient - my kind of product.

Wow....3 months is a record?!? I've had the same pipe (and bong, though it now resides at a friend's house) for over two years! The bong has needed a replacement stem at one point, but thats it. I also have another pipe thats even older, but it too is staying with a friend at the moment. I've only ever broken one glass piece, and it slipped from my hands while I was cleaning it. Any other paraphenilia I've had has either been lost (1 metal pipe) thrown out a car window (1 dugout) or confiscated by my parents or the police (1 homemade bong, I dugout, 1 protopipe, one homemade pipe)

my friends/roomate broke one steam roller and one bong, my parents or cops have confiscated at least 5 bongs, 2 or 3 pipes, i've given/sold one or two pipes, and have a glass pipe that has the botttom of the bowl chippped out. I'm supposed to call the headshop today to see if they got the bong i ordered, ohterwise its papers and blunts for me!

Speaking of keeping paraphanelia for extended periods of time, going on 7 years, a glass bong, about 18 inches, with an ice cube catcher / thumb grip on the chamber. Has a bowl that can hold more than a gram. Very nice piece, huge base so it can gather a lot of smoke and you don't expect such a big hit from such a short piece. It's not always about size

Must admit my green never lasts long enough either! I've never lost / broken any pieces before and I've had some for about 6 or 7 years.

Glad you found some useful bits though, I too am a paraphernalia fan I've got tonnes of random add ons and things that had wank value.
