Ok, well you have a few options for breaking bud up. 1 - Your fingers. 2 - scissors. 3 - Grinder. If your using a scissors you still need to separate the bud from the stems, at least the bigger ones. It's all about preference, some smokers just plop a nug in and fire away. The more surface area or broken up your bud is the better its going to burn. I don't mean that in a bad way, you get solid hits and the bowl should keep rolling.

Well I'd put the weed in the shot glass and scissor away until your happy. Like I said, stems aren't tasty and don't make you high so separate as much as you can before you start cutting, then when your done do a final inspection to make sure you didn't miss anything. I'd say the size of properly broken up nug is going to be smaller than a pea.

Check out grinders if your interested - they range from wood to plastic to metal. Some of them have "pollen collectors" in the bottom chamber of the grinder. Know the crystals on your bud? Well when these fall of the bud in your grinder the go to the bottom - now you've got your self some keif.

I usually step out and take 2 hits to start me off. Then about every 10 minutes or so after I take one hit. It gives you a nice steady stone. Try it out sometime, if your not liking it then blaze it.

Well the cheap wood ones are probably around 10 dollars and the huge metal space cases are sometimes over a hundred. Once again its preference but almost everyone will agree that metal is the best for grinders hands down. As far as getting a hold of one, you'll probably need a willing 18 year old to help you out.

Are you talking about for blunts or for pipes? If you talking about blunts you have to get all the stems and (if there are any) seeds out.If it's a pipe or something you don't need to worry too much.
