| Hi, It was recommended I try this post over here instead of cheaptalk. I've read everything I could find searching the subject and am looking for some additional information. What types of sealers have you all used? The full-sized ones or the mini ones? I have heard that the mini ones do not do as good a job, but if they actually do work fine I would rather spend less and get a decent mini sealer. Any tips/techniques regarding the use of sealers would also be very welcome. Thanks! |

| I have what I consider a full size vac sealer. Its Foodsaver brand, works really well. Walmart, $50. I make blunt bags and seal them up.

| I have a tillia foodsaver. It has waffle texture bags. It works great, dry or liquids. I pack my food for river rafting with it. You have to cut and prepare each bag, but that's nice because you can make custom sizes. When you need a lot of bags you have to start making them like a factory. It can take a half hour to make 15 bags. It's easiest to do when your fingers are clean, and you don't want to have to wash your hands between each sealing. They're great for sealing weed, but you don't want to crush the weed, and the vacuum is really strong. Then freeze it. Lasts forever (until you smoke it all). Not great for sealing a lot of little things, better off getting little baggies for that. I bought mine at a garage sale for 10$ plus a box of rolls of bag material. A good deal! The sealer is so old it's not on the website or even google images. It still works great. It takes some time to get used to, but I'm really good at it now. I usually don't re-seal food at home. I don't like to keep too much food around; I'd rather eat it. Then buy fresh food. Get one now!!
