I was wondering if anyone here knows where i can get a legit roach clip....since the beginning of time ive used my cell phone antenna as a roach clip because i have never seen one in a head shop or anything....ive only seen them in movies about the 60s n shit and shitty homemade ones from paper clips etc....does anyone know an online headshop or anywhere i can get a real legit shnazzy roach clip? thanks

Maybe a head shop? I am not sure, honestly. I have had a pair of stainless steel hemostats for many, many years. I use those when I smoke a joint, which isn't very often.

just use one of those wooden close pins or some plyers or tweezers.. i dont know of anywhere that sells actual roach clips.

Go to an electronics store and ask for alligator clips. Radio Shack is a good candidate, but they tend to be overpriced.

Another really good idea is a hemostat, or clamp. You should be able to get them at an electronics store, craft store or a store that sells supplies for tying fishing flies. If you know a nurse or someone who works in a hospital, ask them to abscond with one.

I personally never even smoke roaches while they are still in the paper. Every roach I get I either roll it back up when I have enough for a joint or I just load a bowl. Why go through all the trouble with roach clips and burnts lips and etc? Just not worth it.

I so rarely smoke a joint that I usually just toke all of it. If I don't, a roach could sit untouched for months. That is why I still have my hemostats.

I understand what you are saying, though. There was a time I did smoke a lot of joints, and I would re-roll them too.

i have a custom made silver roach clip, i bought it off my buddys dad who makes custom jewlery, its absolutly perfect, not sure where to get any regular ones tho

Real roach clips are "alligator clamps" They're normally used on electrical equipment, or in head shops they're sold as part of an item to hold cards, for instance, a little skull with a metal wire sticking out of the top with a spring-loaded clamp on top of the wire, you spin the springloaded clamp off and *bam* roach clip. At least, that's at headshops like waterbeds and stuff...

I think he hit this one right on the head. I was gonna say I have some clips from Radio Shack that you squeeze to open, therefore they stay closed when not squeezed. Perfect for roaches. I guess alligator clips is the proper terminology.
