| I just bought the $20 sharpstone (tm) grinder off ebay after reading some reviews here and other forums. After a day of gentle use, I found a piece of metal stuck on my herb....... At 1st i thought it was giant shiny crystal, but then it turned out to be metallic scrap! Now I feel like throwing this grinder away and paying $80 for space case or $40 for true blendz... anyone else with a sharpstone see metal shavings in their herb? |

| Can you see any place on the grinder that's missing a piece? If not, it may have been left over from the build process and just didn't get cleaned off before shipping. Hard to believe it would shed metal while grinding weed.

| I have a sharp stone grinder and it works fine. I think that 5drive may be right, it's probably just a tiny piece of metal that wasn't sanded off during the process so it came off when you used it. I wouldn't go out and buy another. Mine was a bit more expensive than yours, due to the pollen catcher and what have you. Sharp stone seems to be a good product and I will continue to use it as I see fit. |

| 5drive is right most likely. It was probably just a little piece left from the build.

| I have a sharpstone grinder myself. I have never noticed any shavings in my weed, but the paint (be it metallic or not) on the bottom teeth part is starting to chip away where the top and bottom meet. This is on the outside of the chamber where the ground bud goes, so I dont see how that could let any in.

![]() 5drive is right. Inspect for any damage or parts where metal appears to be 'missing' or flaking off. I would check where the screwing teeth are, perhaps your improperly reattaching the sections and stripping some metal off. Otherwise, clean out the grinder if you are worried about it happening again... | ||
