i really dont like them they are too hard to roll and stick together easily, seems more of a novelty to me than useful.

well for one thing they dont come from trees, but iis still natural, and i think they are bio degradeable.

u cant even leave them in the car though cuz theyll melt and shit, but i still think it makes smoking a joint a lot more enjoyeable, imo anyway

Clear rolling papers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Quote:
There has been some controversy surrounding clear rolling papers. This is mostly because some brands have incorrectly advertised their clear rolling papers as being more natural than regular 'white' rolling papers and have even gone as far as to claim that regular white papers contain lead and arsenic whereas the 'clear' ones do not[2][3]. In reality it takes more chlorine to produce the clear papers then it does the white ones. Also since the Cellulose is wood-derived it does contain Arsenic (wood naturally contains Arsenic, as does almost anything grown in Soil), and at higher concentrations then a thinner white paper.

Some companies such as Pure have gone so far as to claim that ALL paper is clear during the production process and then companies add white dye to make paper white. That is patently false and should not be believed. Regular Paper is naturally brown until a whitening agent is added. Clear papers are made using the process of natural Cellophane. The problem with the marketing by some smaller companies of clear papers is that many continue to market them as being safer than 'white' papers. This is also patently false. Burning Clear papers has not been proven to be healthier or safer than burning a regular paper.
RAW (rolling paper) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Quote:
RAW is the first rolling paper to be made from unbleached fibers, probably going back close to the dawn of smoking. It was fashionable to smoke white papers as that would give the smoker a sense of cleanliness, brown would be seen as 'dirty or bad'. However given the modern trend towards more natural products, RAW is probably exactly what the market currently wants. RAW has been seen on countless TV shows, movies and various websites due to it's wide fan base. Smokers say that RAW tastes different then white papers, according the manufacturers website this is because you don't have the taste of burning bleach/whitening agents to the extent you'd have it in a plain white paper...

Some health consultants say that unbleached rolling papers such as RAW are the healthiest way to smoke in relation to reducing chemicals and toxins namely dioxin. That is not to say that smoking is not bad for you but perhaps it is less dangerous in an unbleached paper

Read up and think again.

Who wants to smoke cellophane or arsenic? Not me that's for sure. I'll stick to my pipe.

Well I can see why you aren't going after a degree in chemistry. I'll tell you what, use some specific terms and arguments and I'll debate you.

They arsenic in them, period.

Plants grow in soil. Plants take nutrients out of soil (and non-nutrients). Trees are plants. Soil has trace amounts of arsenic in it. Papers are made from Trees.

Seems like a simple enough thing to figure out to me.

What brand name you burning?

Yeah, it's the 21st century and quality control is a thing of the past (see China, Topps and any various lettuce producers), so buyer beware has never been more applicable.

The clear papers from Brazil (Aleda, 1back and Glass are a few of them I believe) contain glycerin and bleach during the chemical process, glycerin when heated produces acrolein gas. I have no idea if it is enough to cause problems, but why play with fire (so to speak)?

I personally don't like regular papers (arsenic if made from wood and bleach), either. But arsenic is in pretty much any wood product.

How I get around these unknowns is to burn my weed in a glass pipe with no screen (vaporizing would be even better). Now I only consume the bad shit present in my weed. I don't use a lot of fertilizer for that reason as well and flush well before harvesting. Urea sucks.

What I have heard about the clear papers is that they are more harsh then RAW's.
