I used to pack bowls by hand all the time in Highschool but now (after I bought a grinder) I just cant pack a bowl without grinding it, just seems to taste better when ground up, not to mention it burns better too, just wondering if any of you had had any experiences like that

sorry if this should be in smoking devices, wasn't sure if it had to go there

nah I love just the simplicity of taking that fine ass bud and just smashing that bitch down into the bowl, then you hit her.

i gotta go with titty, the grinder just makes my day, you can pack even more bud in the bowl, if you pack it hard enough you can sometimes get a cherry going, and you wont have to taste that nasty butane when its cherried

i always grind it i would spend an hour while i was stoned grinding up weed by hand before i bought a grinder it taste so good and i like the cherry i get so when i pass it they dont even need the lighter but tomorrow.....i am going to buy a hookah hooray!!!

I prefer grinding, always. I used scissors in the beginning, but I didn't know what I was missing. It's not only easier, it does taste better, and gets more bang for your buck.

I always take apart the bud into small pieces, pretty much the same as what a grinder would do.

Grinders to me are over rated, I find that they grind too finely! For my bowl I need a bigger piece for the bottom and I find if it ground up it burns much quicker and I end up wasting smoke/weed. It's all about the hands. Grinders (to me) are better for blunts/joints. To me it tastes better when you work a little for it.

Yes. They are good for nothing.

Spikes break off too easy. Get a cheap silver aluminum grinder with a kief screen and tray built-in. Rocks. Even the plastic grinders work well if you're not wanting to dough out the extra cash. I have both.

I always clean and grind my herb right after I get it. Lot easier to just load a bowl and not wait to break down a bud. Plus, tossing a whole bud into your bowl is a waste. It doesn't smoke as clean because the air can't pass through the solid nug. Simple physics.
