Okay so I was pretty stoned sitting in my car a while back. It gets real cold where I live, and I had accidentally left an opaque, green gatorade waterbottle in my car. It was full of water, and it had froze solid. A thought popped into my head, "damn, that could potentially be a real sick hiding place for weed."

Now, I'm not endorsing it, not saying I'm planning on doing it, but would that work or what? Take an opaque water bottle, fill with water, put your weed in a watertight small container, sink it in the bottle, let it freeze overnight. When you look at it, you can't see ANYTHING, even if you open the cap and peer in. If you really wanted extra visual protection, use grape gatorade. Would even a dog be able to smell the weed, if it's frozen in water? And even if a cop suspected you of having weed, if he looks at the bottle "I donno, I just left it in here a week ago accidentally." If he doesn't believe you, he either has to go pretty far out of his way to smash it, or wait for it to thaw. Perfect for crossing a border in your car? Only in the winter, obviously.

What do you guys think about that idea? Not in terms of actually using it, more... hypothetically. Theoretically.

If it gets cold enough for the water to freeze all the way through and stay frozen, then its not a bad idea as long as the weed does not get wet. And yes, dogs could still smell it. The smell would eventually seep through the ice then the water bottle and into your car, and even it if it just a little smell a dog can catch it.

Just one question though, how do you get the weed out when it is in a frozen solid block of ice inside a water bottle?

Just take the water bottle inside. Let it thaw. Dump the water out.

Would doggies really smell that, through like six inches of ice which is undoubtedly very air-tight? I know they have crazy good senses of smell, but THAT good? I suppose it could be possible.

When the water freezes, it will expand and possibly crush your nice, fluffy buds. So if you try it, make sure you used a strong container to put your weed so it doesn't crack and crush.

that sounds like a great idea man i never thought of that and i think im gonna have to try it except freeze it and put it in a cooler wit salt water and ice so it'll stay frozen anytime of the year

Or just don't fill it completely with water. That way there's room in the container for the water to expand and leave the container with the buds unscathed.

Take a half used stick of deodorant and unscrew the deodorant part all the way off, tuck your baggy inside the plastic case, and screw the deodorant part back on. Voila.
