| Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I have a question for you all. Do you know of any reason why I shouldn't put mint or ground cloves into a joint to add the flavour? I've heard of putting apple in your weed baggy, and stuff like that, but what about my idea? |

| It would probably be fine.. I've smoked mint tea before, and I would imagine it would be the same thing. Also, when people say they put apple slices or lettuce in with their weed, it's for moisture. Most would take it out before smoking the weed. |

| IF you have lower quality marijuana, some mint or cloves could make it more paletable. Bud grown with TLC and harvested at the peak of potency and then properly cured tastes very good all by itself. I wouldn't dream of distorting that taste with anything else.

| Nothing will necessarily 'save' the flavor of bad marijuana, it might mask the smell or the physical taste - but when if your smoking it just about any additive (i.e. apples, mints, cloves, vanilla extract) will just mask the outward appearance and most likely contaminate an already harsh smoke.

| Word. I smoked it with some clove, and while it did mask the taste nicely (and make the air around smell nice and clove-ey), it did make the smoke a little more harsh, so next time I'll try mint. |
