Hey, what makes good joint paper besides joint paper?

No paper. If it is not meant to be smoked from it has tons of chemicals and sometimes ink that is horrible for you.

You can actually make rolling paper out of cigarette pack foil. This is only good if you don't have any regular rolling paper because it's little hard on lungs and little hard to roll but it's lifesaver when you need a quick hit and ain't got no paper. It's local prison method:
1. Take out all cigarettes from the pack
2. Carefully take foil out. Don't rip it. Mind it might be glued.
3. Make foil wet.
4. When wet remove one layer of a foil. Foil has two layers which are way easier to apart when wet.
5. Keep the layer that looks more like regular rolling paper
6. Roll :-)

P.S. it doesn't have glue so you might want to lick your spliff occasionally.
