| Hey, I've been trying to press kief into hash using a small press and heat. Does anyone have any suggestions on heating directions (how long, how hot)? I've been playin hit or miss for awhile now, and I would like some outside help. |

| I don't think you need to apply heat....

| Yeah, if you're using a kief press you don't need heat, unless you're doing something else.. From what I know you put the kief in, twist the dowels, and let it sit over night. ![]() |

| well i got this info from a dude from turkey, i made a kief disk for him, and he came back the next day with a nice lookin piece of hash that tasted better than the kief. He told me i had to heat it up, so I started doing that, and the flavors have been coming out, as well as the potency. I guess I'll just have to work more with my turkish connects... |

| Yea, you can heat it up. I cant find the link right now, but you twist up the kief in a pouch of saran wrap, then take a blowdrier to it. Press it with your fingers to make it hard. Ive never heard of anyone doing this with already pressed kief, but Im sure its the same concept.

| I was doing a bit of reading up on this, as I recently purchased a kief press, and I wanted to learn how to properly use it... anyways, I found this site: How To Make Hashish (Hash) It's got a lot of great information.. for heat it basically says that heat should be used as a last resort, when the "powder" is low quality and won't stick together. |

| Well, it sticks together when I press it w/o heat. I get my kief from good bud, no schwag. I just find that when I try to break off pieces, it gets a little powder-ish again. But adding a bit of heat I find makes the hash disks a bit more manageable. |
