Default Nicotine in blunts

I've recently been abstaining from smoking any cigarettes. Does the tobacco paper around my blunt contain nicotine in it? If it does, is it enough to continue my nicotine addiction?

Yes, there is nicotine and tobacco in the paper of cigars, but there is a little nicotine and probably not enough to get you addicted or continue an addiction, but you still might want to be careful.

That's good. I was starting to get paranoid thinking that I needed to smoke blunts.

haha. once you get in the habit of blunts, it can be very hard to break, that's how it is for me atleast. Just try smoking fat joints for a while and see how ya feel.

You could avoid the whole nicotine problem by simply buying blunt wraps. I use them on the rare occasions when I smoke blunts. You can get them at about any headshop or corner store.

I've always found that there is a separation between ways of ingesting tobacco. People get addicted to cigarettes, or pipes, or chew. It's not just simply being addicted to the chemical nicotine.

Don't worry about "getting addicted" to blunts, but you have to watch out. There might be enough nicotine in them to develop a full-craving.

Addictions are more psychological than physical though. It doesn't matter how many blunts you smoke, just don't smoke the cigarette!

besides....when you smoke blunts, it's all about the weed....in your head at least....

Huh? You can't have it both ways.

Wrong. Addictions are physiological. Apparently, you've never had to withdraw from a nicotine addiction or you'd know that. Dependencies are psychological.

I've been withdrawing from nicotine a bunch lately....trying to quit. I guess I'm off the wagon ATM but I'm hopping back on on the first....

Wording was odd, I guess. If you're in day one of not smoking cigarettes (the hardest day), I wouldn't recommend smoking a blunt. The nicotine in the blunt could easily "excite" the body enough to give you a pretty bad craving of cigarettes. Same thing if you smell second hand cigarette smoke when you're trying to quit...anything related to nicotine will make you want a cigarette.

Explain why so many people are able to make it 1-2 weeks of quitting cigarettes but then fall off. After 3 days, your body officially is clear of nicotine. But even after you "beat" nicotine, you still have another monster to defeat....cigarettes. I read somewhere that in general, it only takes 4 drags to get your nic fix, and that every drag after that is just feeding the mental side of your addiction.
