| First of all I am looking for a scale (perfectly legal). My intentions for it are my own business(don't wanna get the mods all mad). Anyways I'm not looking to buy it off someone here but I would like to know where I could find one. I know of a shop that sells shirts, accessories and all sort of paraphrenalia, including scales. My questions are would this shop sell me the scale (Im under 18) and if not, where could i be able to buy one? (I dont know all the rules so I dont know whether or not if I said hypothetically I would use it to weigh weed before i buy it if the mods would get mad) | |

| I found one at a local citgo. It was cheap like $20 dollars and worked good. I think i had to be 18 to buy it but the guy that was working didnt care. They do have them at almost all headshops but again you would need to be 18. Just get a buddy that is 18 to get it for you. |

| You have to 18 to buy most scales. It seems pretty weird. I mean, what are they saying....that drug dealing is legal when you turn 18? If a middle school kid wants to weigh out things for a science project, he can't buy a scale? anyway....a lot of gas stations will sell them, especially the stations that seem to sell more blunts than gas. Those scales rarely cost more than $50, but are easy to break, and they lose their accuracy over time. Go to a record shop or some place like that to get quality scales from 60-120. These can usually convert grams to ounces (instead of weighing out 7.2 grams, you can weigh out .25 ounces for more accuracy. Gram to ounce conversions are not exact). Plus, they're usually a bigger, and most have a tray that you can use....not to mention the auto-callibration, where as long as you don't "shock" the sensors, it'll always give you a correct weight. Triton MyWeigh has gotten the most praise, from what I've seen. That one usually costs around 80. Also, try to buy a scale that comes with a 100g calibration weight. Those are a bitch to hunt down if you need them.

| I got my Jennings digital scale from ebay a few years ago, and it was only 10.00 back then, plus a little shipping. It was definitely worth the investment. I'm sure ebay still sells a wide variety of scales now too.

| Thanks you guys. Are you absolutely sure that you have to be 18 to be able to buy one. The people at the shop I know of are squares and they wont sell it to me. I've checked a few other headshops and I didn't see any, nice pieces though.(if you ever need a seven chamber acrylic bong or a huge gas mask pipe come up to Winnipeg lol) | |

| The best source I've found (cheapest, most reliable) is http://www.oldwillknottscales.com. They have a tremendous selection and a scale for every purpose. I've purchased twice from them, two of my sisters have bought scales there for jewelry making, and several friends have purchased scales there as well.
