What do you like least about it? Have you had a SpaceCase? The SpaceCase was the best smoking accessory I ever bought.
There is one lil' thing;

I dont know if I got a faulty model, or I fucked it up - but when I try to reattach the top (top grinder/bottom grinder) to the storage part of the grinder, it takes a lil finesse to get the grooves to match, otherwise it goes on sideways. Not really finesse, but I know what I am doing, where as my friends trying to reattach/remove it always ask 'How do you do this?'

I don't know if that makes sense... I imagine it was just a slight defect in manufacturing ( I ordered mine years ago, so who knows...) or I did it myself through threading it improperly when I first got it. It really isn't a problem in the least bit, it's just something I should note.

And yes, I have had experience with Space Cases before, I really like their finish but it always seems to get dull/scratched. The Mendo Mulcher has a different finish which seems to me a lil more durable (albeit not as shiny and sparkly, or whatever...). When ever I used my friends Space Case sometimes it would get stuck when I am just plopping in a 3 gram nug or so, with the MM, it literally, 'shreds that shit'....

Hope this helps in people making their decision. If you missed it there is also a third alternative I have heard good things about, Google True Blendz to find out for yourself, I am actually contemplating trying one of their 4inch grinders out if I come across some extra cash.

Sounds like someone is into cross-threading (don't worry, out here in all so Liberal California we don't judge people for such such things)

Word, I hardly ever had that problem with mine, but I can see how it is easily done. Not enough of a problem to sway my decision, Im sure that happens with both brands every now in then, just from accidental cross threading. The mulcher wins out in price for sure, but not by too much for it to be the deciding factor in my purchase. Im gonna check out that TrueBlendz too, yet another to add to the already tough decision hahah.

I will throw another one out there for you to look up, sharpstone. Just got mine off ebay for $20 and it came with a pollen press.

Nice pics spiral but that kief looks pretty green, maybe the screen isn't as fine as mine but the kief I am collecting has less green it is just all crystals.

But the sharpstone works great, I have stuffed it completely full and it shreds right through anything with ease. Well I know that doesn't help your decision but you should at least check them out since you are shopping.

In reference to the Mendo Mulcher, I've seen several reports that "it conforms to the bud". I have no idea what that means. With other grinders I've used, you push the bud down onto the teeth, put on the top, and grind away. Is there something different, in that regard, with the Mendo Mulcher?

Now that is hilarious!
As I read that quote, I loved it and laughed out loud thinking that I should respond with some flip comment that it sounded like something I would have said, maybe in 1toke's classic thread.
So I ran it by Google,
and the 1st post that came up was from MJ.com was http://www.marijuana.com/smoking-accessories/92640-space-case-mendo-mulcher.html

I suppose its just another way of saying its 'poetry in motion'.

Does that help? LOL...

Where's a good place to buy either?

It seems on ebay and amazon, I can only find "space case quality" ones, which appear to not be actual space cases, but ones that are just "as good" as space case.

As for the mulcher... 2 of the main sites are no longer up, and I can only find a single, pretty spammy, site that sells them.

I'm definitely looking for a good one. My current one cost me $15 at a headshop. It has a kif catcher, but it doesn't really catch any kif. The way its set up is stupid, and I have alot of sticky-bud caught in it.
