Default Grinder Tech Question

I have a four-piece grinder that came as a free bonus with my VaporWarez vaporizer. It appears to be very similar to a Space Case. It works great and reduces the buds to just the right consistency for the vape.

When I was vaping mids, everything was perfect. Now that I have some sticky buds, I'm having a lot of trouble getting the ground-up material unstuck from the teeth. After emptying the chamber in the third part, I have to spend a lot of time with a toothpick getting about a quarter of the bud unstuck from the teeth.

Is this a common problem? Is there any way around it? The weed was properly dried and cured and stored in a vacuum sealed jar, so it's not sticking because it's wet.

This happened with mine too. My space case chomps through any bud. I gave the free one to my buddy and I watch him pick at the buds to make them fall through.

I have experienced this same problem when grinding KB. Sticks to all the teeth really bad, and not because it was wet. Just very sticky, good KB. I also must pick it off the teeth, and it can really be a pain. I haven't found a way around this problem as of yet.

My grinder chomps through any bud, too. It's just that some of the ground up material sticks to the teeth and, sticking together, blocks the holes down to the next chamber. Do you have any idea why this would be different between your free grinder and the Space Case?

They should make grinders with the same kind of hard, non-stick finish that they're putting on quality cookware.

I wonder if the magnet has anything to do with it. I also noticed the holes are bigger on my space case...there is more hole 'space' on the space case than the free one.

Yeah, the size and spacing of the holes and teeth are what are causing this.

Whenever I get buds that tend to stick to the metal, 2 things seem to help.

The first is breaking apart the buds before actually placing them in there. I know sounds obvious, but thats your best bet in reality. Are you new to grinders Buzzby? I wouldn't think so, just wondering....

Second, I store my bud in the fridge, it seems (although this could be a delusional stoned thought) that the buds don't stick to the metal if they just came out of the fridge, assuming they are slightly chilly nugs.

I recently got free ginder with my Vapor Warez ( hehe....). Here is a comparison to my Mendo Mulcher which never has this problem because of so many teeth. The teeth also have less surface area so the buds don't tend to stick as much, my free ginder has trouble getting down and dirty with the sticky icky.

Obviously you can see how many more holes, and how much closer they are together ( and how smaller, narrower the teeth are ). With the free grinder (smaller one) I'm surprised ground up bud even makes it through those holes.....
Hope this helps.

I think my free grinder is the same as yours. I'll have to put a Mendo Mulcher on my wish list.

EDIT: Damn! I'm getting the distinct impression that these things aren't being made any more. Google's product search turned up a t-shirt. Amazon's got pages for them but they're unavailable and don't know if they'll ever get more. There were only two on eBay. The little one looks too little and the starting bid on the big one was $49.99 - and they want $9.99 for shipping. Is that high?

That is the standard price, although I am basing it on the exact same results as you... I dont know why amazon has the links, but no product. Im thinking that they realized its paraphernalia?

Anyway, Im likely looking in a Mendo Mulcher as well, let me know if you find a good link to em.

Hm.

Yeah, I looked around too, and it appears their once really cool homesite is now gone.

That would suck if they aren't made anymore! I checked out some other Marijuana forums to see what they have been saying, and I couldn't find one good link, but plenty of requests for one!

I checked out that Ebay page and it seems pretty legit. I don't remember paying 50 bucks (plus 9 for shipping) when I ordered of the website, it was something like 40something. It has been a while though. Truth be told, that is still one hell of a deal. Shit, its even half a bigger than mine - I can only imagine the kief production that would make!!

I measured my grinder and I have the 3 inch model. This says it's 3.5, which I believe they did sell, but I am unsure. Perhaps ask the bidder for another picture/comparison just to make sure.

Mine came with some free stickers though

Local headshops might sell them, I have heard of it before, probably only ones in Cali/West Coast area, I know some are Midwest so you might be S.O.L.
