PLUS they've got a lifetime warranty, pretty much the ONLY grinder that's Made in the USA, and it's only competition quality-wise is the space case, which it is now significantly cheaper than. my friend recently got one at a concert and it had a guitar pick scraper

I worked at a headshop, and the fact is space case, true blenz, sharpstone and the notch are all distributed out of southern cali but Made in China. that should say it all.

They don't have a lifetime warranty anymore...seeing as to have a lifetime warranty, the company that made them would have to still be in business.

All you have now is a bunch of overstock being sold.

So I don't know about this, but it looks like Mendo Mulchers are back in business at mendomulchers.com, if this is legit (looks it) it means I'm going to get a good grinder. I've been going with cheap generic crap from amazon, they works, but so do scissors. (though I did get a huge 4 inch grinder for 20 bucks, it's big enough that it's funny, so fuckin worth it)

I don't know... looks a bit shady to me.

"Created: 2008-08-13 Expires: 2011-08-13"

That is the domain information, which means that the domain was dropped and then re-registered brand new... it would be really unlikely for the original mendo people to make it look like their site was dead (which it was for a while), and then revive it only after it was up for grabs by anyone.

This may just be a clever reseller.

It most likely is a clever reseller, but hey, at least your getting a Mendo.

Here is a quick shimmy on the TrueBlendz, my friend recently ordered one and we have been using it for the past 2 days;

In came in the mail late. Whatever vendor he picked sent it to the wrong address, but, when it arrived it was a glorious day. It came in a nice lil' box and also came with these gigantic rolling papers that had an American flag design on them.

The grinder is extremely light. When compared to my Mendo Mulcher it's a pea to a watermelon. His is half an inch smaller (2.5/3) but the difference is significant. There is minimal scratching from the machinery but because it's a polished finished (at least on top/bottom) the prettiness won't last long. there are side 'diamond' grips on the top and bottom compartments.

Opening and closing the compartments is extremely easy because of well machined teeth and a gasket to prevent the grinder from getting stuck shut from over tightening. The screen is high quality and appears that it is easily replaceable. My only gripe is that it looks like it might bend easily with pressure.

The teeth are well designed and machined well. The holes are a little bigger than I like so the ground up material is sometimes a little more 'chunkier'. There is a 'cone pillar' on the top of the grinder to prevent weed from getting stuck in the middle while grinding but it's effectiveness is debatable.

Overall, a solid grinder. Well made and from what I understand, cheaper than most of the competitors.

I don't care for the Mendo or the TrueBlendz. The Mendo is high quality and does a great job, but I don't like the design. There's space between the grommet and the screen for ground herb and kief to hide, and threads are exposed when removing ground herb, and you need to clean scraps and kief from the threads. And although the Mendo has a ton of teeth, they're so close together it makes it impossible to put in good sized pieces for grinding.

I bought a TrueBlendz and the teeth on the outer ring on the top were too long and scraped the anodized finish (black in this case) off the bottom floor of the lower grinder section. Since they have no warranty, they charged me a restocking fee of $6 to return it, plus my return shipping. I've yet to get a credit for it, and I know they've received it by now. Their response to my email about the defective grinder- "it does happen on occasion". Needless to say, I won't be buying another TrueBlendz.

My favorite among the name brand grinders is Mix'n'Ball. Great quality, design, and does a great job of grinding while allowing large pieces to be loaded. 5 yr. warranty too. They've got demo videos of most grinders too. I bought the Triple Screen, since it came with a pollen press and I had a $10 coupon, but I think the Classic Screen grinder is the best buy.

I've also found that Kelly's Great Products on eBay has high quality grinders at good prices. The 'all CNC' grinders have a money back guarantee. I've got one of those and it is, from all I can tell, as good a quality as the name brand grinders. I've also got one of his cheaper grinders I bought a couple of years ago (about $12)-also very good quality. The screens on these grinders are very tight and they're designed so the screw threads are out of the way when removing product. Another great option from this eBay seller-not only do the smaller grinders (40-44mm) have smaller holes (3mm) for a finer grind, he has a 2.5" grinder where you can specify either 4,5, or 6mmm holes. All other brands that I've seen have about 5mm holes only. And if you have a problem, he has great service. The 2.5" model ($14) I ordered ended up being smaller, so he replaced it with the high end 'all CNC' model ($40) at no extra charge and even refunded my return shipping.

I'm going to have to say I disagree here.

The Mendo's large amount of teeth and heavy duty top, plus the 'ridges' for grip allow me to shred through gigantic nugs. The teeth are narrow and it slices through even the densest of buds.

I save all my stems and when the container I am storing them in get's too full I have to 'crush' the stems. I use my mulcher without the bottom compartment and shred it all gram after gram of tough, durable stems. It takes some torque but I've never seen a grinder work on this level.

Could this be the vendor? Or did you buy directly from TrueBlendz? Hopefully you'll get a legit and working TrueBlendz so you can check it something more than a defective product.

The MixNBall looks nice but WTF is up with those staggered teeth?! Does your model have that 5drive?

Well, I guess I should have stated that I don't like to 'squash and grind'. I like to be able to close the lid down most of the way by putting pieces more or less between the teeth. It's certainly an excellent shredder, just not my style.

I bought directly from TrueBlendz (spacegrinders.com), and don't really care to try another. Paying a restocking charge for a DOA grinder pissed me off. The outside of the grinder was smooth and had a beautiful finish, but the inside, aside from the problem with the teeth, showed a few shiny spots where the black finish had come off. They're in Canada, so the return had to go through customs too.

Not sure what you mean. They have a lot fewer teeth than the Mendo, but they're set up like other grinders as far as I can tell. I've only used mine once so far (got it last Saturday), but it did an excellent job. Nothing at all was left above the holes. The owner also sent me a free Mega Leaf grinder to make up for the delay in shipping (out of stock when I ordered). It's just a two piece grinder, but it sells for $35 and is 70mm in diameter. It'll really process a lot of herb if you don't care about screening the kief. I've got some lesser quality stuff that'll be perfect for that one.

A tooth broke off the grinder I've had for a few months now, so I just ordered a Mix'n Ball 2 screen grinder today. I'm very stoked!!

EDIT: I really liked how on the site they had rather high-quality videos showcasing the product. Taking it apart, showing the pieces individually and close up. Just a nice touch I thought.

I have a nano herb grinder on the way myself. I already have a nice grinder, but this will be a nice addition to my collection.

Their current design for the double and triple screen grinders wasn't very popular as far as the bottom section (kief collector) being held on with magnets-comes loose too easy if you hold it in your hand while grinding. In a couple of weeks they'll have an optional screw-on bottom you can get for $5 (to cover shipping).

Their Classic Screen grinder is the best bargain IMO, and has the screw-on bottom. I love the annodized coating on these grinders (and the 5 yr. warranty).
