| Ok I bought myself a pack of papers from a Headshop, thank god they sold it to me (minor). The guy was nice and asked my if i wanted to get a water pipe or bud buster to go along with my purchase. I said no thanks but maybe some other time. Now I am sitting in front of my computer, rolling my weed and I realize I need to make a roach. Now, I'm kind of an inexperienced roller but I can get a tight joint no problem. The roach messes me up. After I'm dont my rolling I try to fit a roach in and it's either too big or too small. I thought if i made it in a way so I could get it in and it'd uncoil a bit it would work, but I'm worried I'll break my papers, and blueberry is my favourite ![]() Just wondering though, any tips for getting that pesky roach into my joint? ALL SUGGESTIONS OR TIPS ARE APPRECIATED... Also. What would I use to make a roach? Normal paper? Piece of a card? |

| You don't need the "roach" at all really . Just fill your whole joint with weed if you want, many many people do. Then when it gets too low to burn, jus put it out and either save it or roll it into your next joint .

It takes some time, and patience to figure out how to make the perfect 'roach' for a joint, but I'm sure you'll figure it out in no time. Quote:
I usually use a small piece of cardboard from the front flap of my zig-zags, I just tear and fold and wind 'em up. ![]() | ||

| I personally find that rolling with a roach tip is easier when you put the roach in before you roll the joint, then roll around the tip. I roll tips with business cards as they typically have the best thickness to pliability ratio. I roll in an atypical manner however with the tip to my right hand and the cone end to my left. Most people roll the opposite way. I also typically roll dutch style, with an upside-down paper, just one paper wrap. It's harder, but makes for a more pleasant smoke. My advice is put the tip in before you roll the jay and make the paper around the tip as tight as possible before scrolling up by rolling all the mix tight, then taking the tip end of the paper and tightly rolling it under the rest of the paper. This often allows the rest of the joint to be rolled fairly easily as the paper for the whole jay will roll effortlessly under the rest of the paper on the top by simply twisting the tip. Happy rolling!

| All you need to do is rip a piece of cardboard from the paper package, tightly roll it together (so it looks like a cinnamon bun), and push it into the end of the joint. It will unravel a bit and fit perfectly.

| I've never seen the utility in sticking a little piece of folded paper in the end of a joint. I've been smoking joints for 40 years and we always thought of that as a weird European affectation. A "roach" was just the dark, sticky end of a joint, which could be smoked in a pipe of broken down and rolled into another joint. Nowadays, I just throw them out because I know they contain the worst of the combustion byproducts that I usually vape to avoid. Some people say that the bit of paper keeps the end of the joint from closing up, but if you know how to roll that isn't a problem. Just don't roll joints with pointed ends. If you can roll a cylindrical joint, you've got it made.

| I have never rolled a joint with a "roach." I mean yeah it sounds useful to use them but it is so nice to have those "roaches" by that I mean the little remainder of a joint after smoked and put out, handy around the house. So when I run out or am just lookin for a buzz quickly pack those in a bowl and smoke those. I'd say just roll them normal all weed, it's not that hard and you really do get better with practice. |

| Exactly what I was gonna say. When I roll I tear a piece of the paper holder, roll it and put it in the end and let it expand. Otherwise towards the end of the joint it starts to burn my lips and my fingers so I have to put it out, and personally I don't like saving the ends of the joint, the weed feels just way too wet, even if it's almost completely dry. |

| My thoughts exactly. I don't want to burn my lips or my fingers, and a roach really helps avoid this.. I smoked a joint once that didn't have a roach and while it still did the trick, some weed still got wasted and I did burn my fingers. It takes literally 5 seconds to put a roach at the end so to me the 5 seconds is well worth it. |
